SAP GTS Business Function Implementation Lead (Remote Work)

• We are seeking an experienced SAP GTS Consultant with expertise in Global Trade Services (GTS), including full lifecycle implementations and hands-on configuration in SAP GTS E4H. The ideal candidate will have deep functional knowledge of compliance management, customs processes (exports/imports), and GTS master data, particularly in trade between the Dominican Republic (DR) and the US.
• This is a client-facing, lead role requiring strong project leadership, ability to drive results, and hands-on SAP GTS configuration and implementation experience.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead the implementation and configuration of SAP GTS, with a focus on Compliance Management, including:
• Embargo checks
• Sanctioned Party List (SPL) Screening (leveraging Descartes SPL data)
• Legal Control (EAR99)
• Drive the Customs Management process for Exports from DR to the US, ensuring:
• Generation and processing of Commercial/Shipping Invoices via SAP TM
• BOL and Packing List outputs via SAP EWM
• Managing CAFTA Certification, FDA documentation, and ISF documentation via SAP GTS
• Manage the Customs Import Process into the USA, including:
• Oversight of Shippers Invoice, Packing List, CAFTA Cert., FDA Data, ISF Documentation
• Coordination with US Customs Brokers for data transfer via CSV files
• Implement and support Trade Agreement Management in coordination with the Customs Broker
• Oversee Kits Management for both exports and imports between DR and the US
• Maintain and configure GTS Master Data, including:
• SPL data, Embargoes, Legal Controls
• Classification Data for Materials and Business Partners (Customers/Vendors)

Must-Have Skills:

• SAP GTS Implementation Experience: Minimum of 2 full lifecycle implementations including hands-on SAP GTS E4H
• Deep expertise in Compliance Management, Customs (Imports/Exports), particularly Dominican Republic to US trade flows
• Strong client-facing skills with the ability to drive discussions, workshops, and lead a team to successful delivery
• Expertise in Customs Broker interaction and documentation requirements
• Proficiency in regulatory requirements for CAFTA, FDA, ISF documentation

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience in Customs Brokerage processes
• Prior experience in the Life Sciences industry (Medical Devices, Medical Supplies)

Education:

• Bachelor's degree preferred (but not mandatory with equivalent experience)
• SAP GTS expertise is essential
