Luna Data Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Senior Enterprise Architect to support a large-scale, complex technical environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of business strategy and technical architecture and who can design enterprise-level solutions that are scalable, secure, and aligned with organizational goals. You ll work closely with business and IT stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable designs, guide solution development, and serve as a trusted expert advisor throughout the project lifecycle.
What You ll Do
Translate business requirements into detailed system, application, and process designs for large, interconnected environments.
Analyze customer service needs and architect solutions that meet performance, security, and operational objectives.
Develop comprehensive solution documentation, including workflows, risk assessments, scope definitions, and financial considerations.
Apply deep industry knowledge to craft best-in-class service and technology solutions.
Create remediation plans for complex technical risks and dependencies.
Produce clear, detailed system and workflow documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert, providing guidance and presenting solutions to internal and external stakeholders.
Follow established organizational standards for modeling, documentation, reviews, and approvals.
Who Thrives in This Role
You re an experienced architect who has worked in higher education, financial, or government environments and understands the complexities of sensitive data, multi-system integrations, and enterprise-scale design. You re comfortable navigating relational and non-relational databases, third-party integrations, and custom applications and you bring a strong commitment to data governance and architectural best practices.
Required Qualifications
8+ years of experience in:
Data mapping, data integration, and ETL processes across relational and non-relational databases
Handling sensitive data in higher education, financial, or government sectors
Working with multiple interconnected third-party and custom applications
Delivering projects on time and within budget
Communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels
Implementing data governance frameworks and ensuring data quality
Developing requirements and documentation for IT and business solutions
Collaborating with cross-functional teams (BA, development, data engineering)
Applying strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
4+ years of experience integrating new third-party solutions into existing technology ecosystems
Preferred Qualifications
1 year of experience working in Agile environments and managing backlogs
