Job Description
ECS is seeking a Cloud Engineer - Journeymen to work in our Arlington, VA office. Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award.
ECS is seeking talented professionals to join our successful and growing team in building the next-generation Threat Intelligence Enterprise Service (TIES) solution. The TIES Program is the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency's (CISA) dynamic approach to fulfilling its federally mandated cyber information sharing responsibilities and ensuring real-time automated threat intelligence reaches key security partners. The TIES product is an integrated suite of multiple Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) products, software configuration packages, and custom code which work together to operate as an integrated solution tailored to meet CISA requirements.

Role & Responsibilities:
ECS is seeking a Cloud Engineer - Journeymen to serve as a cloud engineer supporting the implementation of ECS' TIES in the respective AWS environment.
The ideal candidate will be capable to reviewing and evaluating current architecture design, evaluating AWS service offerings available in the respective AWS environment, and leveraging their experience with AWS to support the hands-on implementation of the solution in the respective environment through cost effective and automated methods. They will have hands-on experience developing production solutions, and motivation to explore problems to find creative solutions and grow existing skillsets.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of experience designing, implementing, securing, and maintaining solutions within Amazon Web Services (GovCloud preferred) deploying compute, storage, and other native service offerings for AWS services such EC2, Lambda, VPC, OpenSearch, RDS, ElastiCache, CloudTrail, SSN, SES, Inspector, KMS, Guard Duty, WAF, IAM, S3
- 3+ years of infrastructure experience related to network security
- 3+ years of experience refining and executing processes and standard operating procedures
- 3+ years of experience monitoring solutions that provide alerts through various mechanisms
- 3+ years of experience supporting infrastructure systems in compliance with security standards and policies
- 3+ years of experience evaluating security posture and providing solutions to treat security findings
- 2+ years of experience managing logging and monitoring solutions with subsequent analysis and reporting
- 2+ year of experience supporting Cloud Engineering and Automation (e.g., DevOps/DevSecOps, CI/CD pipeline, Infrastructure as Code)
- Experience implementing and managing Kubernetes Clusters leveraging Amazon EKS
Desired Skills
- Prior DHS CISA mission experience
- Experience designing solutions within the Government Cyber Mission Space and legal constraints applicable to civilian Government Agencies (e.g., FISMA, FIPS, SecOps)
- Experience designing and documenting security controls for System Security Plans and support of FISMA accreditation processes
- Experience defining and implementing solutions including data segmentation and security controls in a multi-tenant environment
- Experience integrating multiple information systems, such as application integration utilizing standard or custom integrations or APIs
- Cloud service cost planning, budgeting, analysis, and cost optimization through implementation of savings plans
- Experience in assessment, evaluation, and documentation of client environment, infrastructure, process, and operations
- Ability to interface with all levels from end users to senior management and contract team members
- Applicable AWS Associate or Professional level certification(s)
