Cutting edge Defense-Technology organization specializing in artificial intelligence and autonomous systems

**Onsite | Arlington, VA**

Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $50 - $55 / hr. w2

Responsibilities:
We are seeking a Systems Administrator with a strong blend of Asset Management (70%) and Desktop Support (30%) expertise. This role will be a key part of a two-person service desk team supporting the Arlington, VA office which hosts 20-50 employees on a rotating basis. The ideal candidate will bring technical desktop support skills, hands-on asset management experience, and strong problem-solving abilities to the team.

Asset Management (70%)
  • Oversee hardware/software asset lifecycle, ensuring accurate tracking, compliance, and cost management
  • Maintain asset inventory and coordinate with vendors for procurement, renewals, and contract management
  • Assist in developing a structured approach to software license management and spending

Desktop Support (30%)
  • Provide end-user technical support for Windows, Mac, and Linux environments
  • Manage user accounts in Active Directory, O365, and Azure AD
  • Troubleshoot issues related to desktop, software, and system configurations
  • Handle ticketing requests via JIRA Service Management (Atlassian)
  • Image and deploy laptops (Windows/Linux) and provide basic troubleshooting support
  • Ensure smooth IT operations for the DC office, with occasional remote collaboration with other sites

Experience Requirements:
  • 5-10 years of experience in IT support, asset management, or systems administration
  • Strong software asset management experience
  • Experience with Windows, Mac, and Linux environments (Mac is
  • Hands-on experience with Active Directory, O365 - they work with Azure AD and Intune as well so those are a plus
  • Knowledge of ticketing systems (JIRA preferred) and troubleshooting processes
  • Ability to troubleshoot end-user issues, manage tickets, and escalate when needed
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a small, tight-knit team
  • Vendor management experience is a plus but not required

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree preferred, but will consider candidates without 4-year degree
