Our Bethesda, MD office has an opening for a talented Mechanical Engineer who would like to work on diverse projects.

Our Bethesda, MD office has an opening for a talented Mechanical Engineer who would like to work on diverse projects.
The Mechanical Engineer will provide engineering design, evaluation, and planning of mechanical systems. The candidate will have the opportunity to work on projects in a variety of market sectors, such as healthcare, science & technology, education, and commercial projects.
In this role, you will:
- Provide engineering design, evaluation, and planning of mechanical systems for healthcare, science & technology, education, and commercial projects
- Perform Load/Energy calculations with software such as Trace 700, Carrier HAP, and similar programs
- Work with a senior engineer to conduct building surveys and documentation of existing HVAC systems
- Develop system design calculations and selection of equipment for use in buildings
- Write/edit project specifications
- Prepare detailed design documents, reports, and studies
- Code compliance research
- Coordinate work with other disciplines
- Provide construction administration services
You will be a great fit if:
- You have a minimum of 5 years of design experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- LEED certification/experience is a plus
- Experience with laboratories/medical facilities design is preferred
Skills/abilities:
- Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office
- Familiarity with codes, standards, and design guidelines
- Excellent work ethic and attitude
- Good communication and time management skills
- Interpersonal communication skills, combined with organizational skills, the ability to plan, balance, and prioritize work
