Java/AWS Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Westlake, TX that is seeking a Java/AWS Engineer.

REQUIREMENTS:
* 6+ years of experience with Java
* 3+ years of experience in designing and developing enterprise cloud-based solutions using Amazon Cloud Computing Services, including EBS, IAM, SWF, and SQS; performing serverless software development using Amazon Lambda written in NodeJS, Java via REST, or AWS sdk;
* 3+ years of experience building applications that utilize CI/CD pipelines
* Experience in Server Side Java, J2EE, REST, SQL, JUnit, and Tomcat
* Experience in coding and implementing Java Batch and event driven process
* Experience with Oracle PL-SQL and ability to write complex queries
* Keenly interested in learning new technologies and their adoption
* Knowledge in a breadth of technologies including but not limited to those identified in the Qualifications section
* Strong software development skills using Java and web application technologies in a service oriented architecture
* Some experience in designing and developing enterprise cloud-based solutions using Amazon Cloud Computing Services, including EBS, IAM, SWF, and SQS; performing serverless software development using Amazon Lambda written in NodeJS, Java via REST, or AWS sdk; Coding, storing, retrieving, and versioning s3 objects, Kinesis and SQS streams
* Strong experience in dev-ops activities like dockerization, development of bash code to automate server builds and deployment to continuous deployment servers
* Worked with tools that aid in Continuous integration and Continuous deployment including but not limited to GIT/Stash, Jenkins, Junit, SONAR, uDeploy, etc.
* Knowledge of software engineering practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
