Work Year: Year Round (260 Days / 8 Hours)
Reports to: Enterprise Operations Manager
Direct Reports: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Summary
Operating under the general supervision of the Enterprise Operations Manager, the Systems Administrator supports the district s technology infrastructure by performing provisioning, installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware, software, and related technical systems. This role collaborates with senior staff and project teams to ensure systems align with district objectives and instructional needs.

Education and Experience Acceptable demonstration of acceptable education and/or experience will be at the sole discretion of the District.
- Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other related field
- Preference given to three years experience operating in and/or systems administration for a technology department
- Familiarity with agile project management methodologies, including Scrum, is a plus.
Licenses, Registrations or Certifications
- Criminal Background Check required for hire
- Valid Colorado driver s license or identification required
- Preference for Microsoft & applicable Networking certifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Operating knowledge of various softwares and applications including Google, Microsoft, and Linus
- Knowledge of and experience with Layer 3 routing and VLAN protocols.
- Networking knowledge of switches, routers, hubs, servers, cables, racks, firewalls, LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, UDP, latency, VoIP, QoS within 6 months after hire.
- Ability to implement security best practices, including risk assessments and compliance monitoring.
- Familiar with backup and restore processes for enterprise systems
- Ability to be adaptable and flexible with collaborative critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to provide support in a professional and approachable manner
- Commitment to handling sensitive and confidential information with the highest ethical standards
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with staff and various stakeholders
- Ability to lead, communicate, interact and work effectively and cooperatively with people from diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds
- Ability to follow applicable federal, state, local laws and Board of Education policies, in addition to building and department procedures
- Ability to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate administrator
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adjust to frequent interruptions
- Strong record-keeping and documentation skills to maintain accurate records and forms
- Problem solving skills to analyze complex technical issues, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions with minimal supervision
- Well-developed ability to work independently as needed with minimal direction and/or supervision
- Proficiency in server and network configurations, virtualization technologies, and system monitoring tools.
- Basic knowledge of cybersecurity principles and compliance standards
- Strong attention to detail, problem solving, project management, and analytical skills
