Project Overview
The IT Project Manager will oversee multiple initiatives within the dSME (Digital Smart Manufacturing Environment) Program/Product, which currently includes:
Greenville Line 11, Combi 1/2, and PDS3
dSME Ridgefield Deployment
dSME Global Enhancements
This role ensures the effective planning, coordination, and execution of enterprise-level projects that align with the organization's digital transformation strategy, focusing on delivery excellence, governance, and continuous improvement.
Position Summary
The IT Project Manager is responsible for managing and delivering enterprise-level IT projects across the full project lifecycle. The position demands strong leadership, deep understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies, and experience driving complex, cross-functional initiatives.
The ideal candidate has a proven record of successfully delivering enterprise-scale IT projects balancing strategic vision, technical expertise, and stakeholder collaboration to achieve measurable outcomes.
Core Responsibilities
Lead and manage the full lifecycle of dSME projects including scope, schedule, budget, risk, and quality.
Develop detailed project plans, charters, and budgets, and secure capital funding approval through established processes.
Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and demos.
Oversee resource allocation across business, IT, and manufacturing functions.
Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and performance to ensure project success.
Proactively monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
Coordinate with stakeholders across departments to ensure seamless communication and alignment.
Produce accurate status reports, dashboards, and project documentation for executive visibility.
Enforce compliance with PMO governance, documentation standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA CSV).
Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline processes and enhance delivery quality.
1. Project Management & Leadership (8+ Years)
Over 5 years of experience managing enterprise-level IT projects across ERP, CRM, MDM, EDW, and business transformation domains.
Proven expertise in end-to-end project lifecycle management, from initiation and planning through execution and closure.
Skilled in developing and managing multi-million-dollar budgets, performing cost control and variance analysis.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams across business, IT, and engineering disciplines.
Strong background in scope definition, risk management, and project governance frameworks (PMBOK / PRINCE2).
2. Agile / Scrum Methodologies (5+ Years)
Hands-on experience implementing Agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe in large enterprise environments.
Served as Scrum Master for multiple development teams, facilitating all Agile ceremonies and driving continuous improvement.
Experienced in hybrid (Agile + Waterfall) delivery models across complex, multi-phase programs.
Skilled in sprint forecasting, backlog prioritization, velocity tracking, and Agile KPI management.
Expertise in tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, and Rally for Agile project execution.
3. Technical & Business Systems Integration (5+ Years)
Over 5 years of experience managing projects involving ERP, CRM, EDW, MDM, and eBusiness systems.
Strong understanding of system integration, data migration, and application modernization across on-prem and cloud environments.
Hands-on familiarity with SAP, Oracle Cloud, Salesforce, and Microsoft Dynamics 365 platforms.
Experience leading cloud adoption and infrastructure modernization initiatives using AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
Proficient in leveraging ETL (Informatica, SSIS) and data visualization (Power BI, Tableau) for business intelligence and analytics-driven reporting.
4. Process Optimization & Quality (5+ Years)
Applied Lean Six Sigma principles to improve efficiency and eliminate process bottlenecks within IT and business workflows.
Experienced in delivering projects in regulated environments, ensuring compliance with FDA Computer Systems Validation (CSV) and quality standards.
Led process mapping, KPI tracking, and post-implementation reviews to drive operational excellence.
Skilled in conducting CAPA, FMEA, and root cause analysis to identify risks and corrective actions.
Proven success in implementing continuous improvement frameworks within PMO governance.
5. Tools & Methodologies (5+ Years)
Project Management Tools: MS Project, Smartsheet, Clarity PPM, and MS Planner.
Collaboration Platforms: Confluence, SharePoint, MS Teams, Slack, Miro.
Analytical Tools: Advanced MS Excel (pivot tables, macros, formulas) and Power BI for executive dashboards.
Documentation Tools: Visio, Lucidchart for workflow design, process flow diagrams, and dependency mapping.
Reporting Artifacts: RAID logs, RACI matrices, risk registers, and stakeholder communication plans.
6. Vendor, Stakeholder & Change Management (5+ Years)
Extensive experience managing vendor relationships and third-party delivery partners to ensure contractual and SLA compliance.
Strong expertise in stakeholder engagement, building consensus across business, IT, and executive levels.
Skilled in change control processes, ensuring project scope stability and alignment with evolving business needs.
Managed organizational change initiatives with measurable improvements in adoption and end-user satisfaction.
Experienced in executive communication, including steering committee presentations and sponsor reporting.
7. Communication, Leadership & Collaboration (5+ Years)
Excellent ability to translate complex technical details into business-friendly language for diverse audiences.
Proven team leadership, coaching, and mentoring capabilities to develop high-performing project teams.
Experienced in facilitating cross-departmental collaboration to resolve conflicts and align objectives.
Strong presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with focus on influence and stakeholder satisfaction.
Demonstrated success in leading matrixed, global teams with clear accountability and communication structures.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field.
8+ years of enterprise IT project management experience.
Demonstrated expertise in both Agile and Waterfall project delivery methodologies.
Strong proficiency in MS Project, Excel, Power BI, and Visio.
Excellent planning, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
PMP and/or CSM certification.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or FDA CSV practices.
Previous experience managing M&A, integration, or digital transformation projects.
Familiarity with dSME (Digital Smart Manufacturing Environment) systems or Industry 4.0 technologies.
Exposure to multi-cloud platforms and data analytics ecosystems.

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting hourly range for this remote role is (60 -65 W2 hourly ). This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on several factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
