Job Title: Senior Front End Java Developer ( Only Locals to Austin, TX)

Duration: 12 Months

Location: Austin, TX

Key Responsibilities:
  • Performs Front End/UI application development. enhancement. maintenance, and support for Social Services User Interface applications.
  • Performs application development, enhancement, maintenance, and support for State Portal, Workflow Management, Eligibility Web Services, Family Violence Program, Enterprise Document Services, Enterprise Content Management, Document Center, Call Center Inquiry, and other Social Services applications.
  • Develop, enhance and maintain existing and new web-based J2EE/Portal applications within SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) platform using Agile methodologies.
  • Create technical and design documentation, as required.
  • Perform system analysis and problem resolution, as required.
  • Analyze software for configuration & performance tuning opportunities, as required.
  • Develop and maintain data and process models, as required.
  • Employ contemporary testing methods to ensure applications function properly and without error.
  • Provide technical support for testing and implementation efforts.
  • Participate in program design, coding and test walk-through meetings to provide input regarding technical standards and customer requirements.
  • Provide application support (defect repair, maintenance, and production operations support) for web-based Java applications in an SOA platform. Perform system analysis, troubleshooting, diagnosis and problem resolution.
  • Analyze software for defects and performance tuning opportunities. Develop and test application code to resolve defects and improve application reliability and performance

Required Skills:
  • 8+years of Hands-on experience in Front End/UI development, enhancing and maintaining enterprise-class applications using Angular and/or similar frameworks on theJ2EE application development platform.
  • 8+years of Required Hands-on experience participating in all phases of the SDLC (Systems Development Life Cycle).
  • 8+years of Hands-on UI development experience implementing Authentication and Authorization, Caching strategies.
  • 8+years of Hands-on programming experience in following languages: HTML5, JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX, CSS3, Bootstrap, SASS, Angular, Typescript, JSON, XML, ES5/ES6, NPM, Maven and/or other UI frameworks/libraries.
  • 8+years of Demonstrable experience developing, optimizing, and maintaining an enterprise-level Front End/UI application including complete ownership of the front-end stack (JavaScript/HTML/CSS, Angular and/or other UI frameworks).
  • 8+years of Required Experience implementing Client-facing applications with responsive design and development.
  • 8+years of Required Experience implementing SPAs with JS or with libraries/frameworks like Angular.
  • 8+years of Experience in development of self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components.
  • 8+years of Strong understanding and experience of fundamental programming concepts of data structures, algorithms, performance, caching and scalability issues in the context of Web based UI applications.
  • 8+years of Experience in developing and testing application user interface for ADA/Accessibility Compliance.
  • 8+years of Experience in implementing best practices in the areas of application design, performance, scalability and maintainability.
  • 8+years of Experience in Test-driven development and test creation using frameworks such as Karma, Jasmine, Selenium

Preferred Skills:
  • 5+years of Hands-on experience with Spring Boot Java Applications.
  • 5+years of Hands-on experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server 8 or later.
  • 5+years of Hands-on experience with Agile Development Methodologies (preferably Scrum)
  • 5+years of Hands-on experience with web applications developed for Cloud platform
  • 5+years of Hands-on experience with CI/CD methodology
  • 5+years of Hands-on development experience for mobile and tablet platforms
