RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Quality Assurance and Performance Architect. This role is hybrid and the candidate must be located in Birmingham, AL or Atlanta, GA (3 days onsite per week).
Summary:
Our partner is seeking a Quality Assurance and Performance Architect to join its technology team. This individual will lead and execute QA and performance architecture strategy across the enterprise. The role is critical in ensuring technical systems operate efficiently, reliably, and at scale, leveraging best practices in automation, performance monitoring, and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities:
* Define and implement end-to-end QA and performance architecture strategies across various platforms
* Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in integrating testing best practices throughout the application development lifecycle
* Drive automation efforts in alignment with Regions' toolsets and frameworks
* Research and implement emerging technologies such as AI, ML, and robotics to optimize testing and analytics
* Guide the selection of testing frameworks, performance tools, and architectural strategies
* Participate in PI and sprint planning; contribute to agile development efforts
* Create tools and reusable components to enhance automation speed and reliability
* Mentor and educate technical teams to adopt modern QA and performance testing approaches
* Stay updated with industry trends to recommend improvements in tools, speed, cost, and efficiency
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
* 6+ years of performance engineering experience, including at least 2 years in an architecture role supporting large-scale, distributed systems
* Strong understanding of QA methodologies, automation, and performance testing frameworks
* Hands-on experience with SQL/NoSQL databases, including query optimization and tuning
* Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C, C++, or C#
* Strong understanding of application performance tuning, scalability, and multi-tiered systems
* Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS) and microservices architecture
* Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Puppet, Terraform, Packer, Consul, and Vault
Preferred Skills:
* Experience with performance testing and monitoring tools: LoadRunner, LoadRunner Enterprise, JMeter, Dynatrace, Fiddler, Splunk, Hammer, Performance Center
* Familiarity with testing tools such as Tosca, Selenium, Postman, K2View, Sauce Labs
* Background in web and mobile application stacks, including HTTP, REST, HTML, JavaScript, CSS
* Experience in banking or financial services is a plus but not required
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills; must be proactive and self-directed
* Ability to clearly document and explain performance metrics and influence cross-functional decisions
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
