Job Description

You will be the Electrical Engineer for the Precision Strike Missile (PrSM) Increment 1 Modern Guidance Set (MGS P) program. Our team engineers advanced guidance and power analysis solutions for a high performance missile system, collaborates with suppliers, and drives hardware through design, test, and production.

What You Will Be Doing
As the Electrical Engineer you will serve as the technical liaison for the Guidance Set integration effort, review and update electrical requirements, and support laboratory testing and on site supplier activities. Your work ensures that every Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) meets rigorous performance and reliability standards from concept through fielding. Your responsibilities will include:

Reviewing electrical requirements, schematics, ICDs, and drawings for the guidance set and its power analysis interfaces.
Providing technical support to Supplier Management Teams, including on site visits to resolve failures and verify LRU performance.
Conducting research, root cause investigations, and problem resolution activities on hardware issues.
Updating and releasing system and subsystem designs while maintaining configuration control.
Planning, executing, and analyzing lab tests and evaluations of electrical hardware.
Performing Material Review Board Engineer (MRBE) tasks and participating in Failure Review Board (FRB) actions.
Documenting work and maintaining data in Visio, Windchill, and associated LM tools.
Reporting progress, risks, and results directly to the program Electrical Engineer Lead.
Ensuring compliance with DoD security requirements (Secret clearance or ability to obtain one).

The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications

Experience working with FPGA's, firmware, and FPGA design tools
Experience in electrical hardware design for both development and production phases in aerospace or a similar industry
Ability to interpret and read complex electrical schematics for circuit cards assemblies (CCA).
Experience using electrical/electronic test equipment such as DMMs, Oscilloscopes, and automated testing equipment for troubleshooting circuit card assemblies and other electrical hardware.
Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Detail-oriented with a focus on process and quality.

Desired skills

Experience working technical proposals. Candidate will need to be able to obtain MRBE status with the appropriate training/mentoring
Experience working failure investigation, root cause and corrective action.
Experience working with suppliers and leading suppliers during technical issue investigation
Previous experience in a Material Review Board (MRB) role, particularly in a production setting.
Experience working non-conformance disposition of hardware for production.
Prior experience with Lockheed Martin programs or similar defense contractors is a plus
Familiarity with the transition from development to production, including the resolution of design issues and optimization for mass production.

Ability to work remotely

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 - $150,765. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement
