Nakupuna Consulting is seeking a highly skilled SharePoint Developer and Support Specialist - Tier 2 to provide advanced support and development capabilities across SharePoint Online (SPO) and SharePoint Subscription Edition (SE) environments. This role blends hands-on troubleshooting with development expertise, helping to resolve complex issues, build custom solutions, and maintain system health. - Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve Tier 2 technical issues related to SharePoint architecture, custom solutions, site collections, permissions, lists/libraries, and Power Platform integrations.
- Development & Customization: Build, debug, and enhance SharePoint solutions using SPFx, PowerShell, PnP, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps). Support branding, site templates, and user experience enhancements.
- Workflow Automation: Support and maintain Power Automate workflows and legacy SharePoint Designer workflows.
- Integration Support: Assist with integrations between SharePoint and other Microsoft 365 services (e.g., Teams, OneDrive, Outlook), as well as third-party or line-of-business applications.
- Monitoring & Optimization: Proactively monitor site and system performance, recommend optimizations, and ensure platform stability and compliance with organizational standards.
- User Support & Enablement: Provide guidance to site owners, content managers, and end-users on best practices, governance policies, and feature usage.
- Documentation: Maintain internal documentation, technical guides, scripts, and SOPs to support knowledge transfer and consistent service delivery.
- Collaboration: Partner with system administrators, architects, security teams, and Microsoft support to resolve high-impact issues or deliver enhancements.
- Incident Management: Track and manage issues using ITSM tools like ServiceNow, ensuring timely communication and resolution.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in an IT related field preferred.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience supporting and developing in both SharePoint Online and SharePoint on-premises environments (preferably SharePoint SE).
- Experience migrating or co-managing hybrid SharePoint environments.
- Demonstrated experience with troubleshooting permissions, site structures, and workflow issues.
- COMTIA Security + Preferred - Must be able to obtain and maintain the certification within 6 months of employment.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in SPFx (SharePoint Framework), PowerShell scripting, PnP PowerShell, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS.
- Experience with Power Platform tools: Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power BI.
- Familiarity with SharePoint Designer and InfoPath (for legacy support).
- Experience configuring and managing SharePoint SE service applications, central admin, ULS/event logs, and SQL Server dependencies.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical audiences.
- Proactive and detail-oriented, with a collaborative mindset.
Additional Requirements:
- Experience with ITSM tools like ServiceNow or Jira.
- Understanding of governance, security, and compliance within Microsoft 365.
- Ability to manage multiple tickets and development tasks in a dynamic environment.
