Detailed Job Description:
This critical role focuses on building and maintaining robust data ingestion pipelines into our AWS Data Lake, primarily using Fluent Bit, while also developing and implementing security automation solutions using Cortex XSOAR. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in data ingestion, AWS security architecture, and security automation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Ingestion (Fluent Bit & AWS Security Data Lake):
- Architect and manage scalable and reliable log/data ingestion pipelines using Fluent Bit or App Fabric.
- Configure and deploy Fluent Bit agents for efficient log collection, parsing, transformation, and routing.
- Optimize and troubleshoot ingestion pipelines for high performance and reliability.
- Ensure data integrity and enrichment during ingestion to the AWS Data Lake (S3, Glue, Athena).
- AWS Security Data Lake:
- Design and implement robust security controls and access policies within AWS Data Lake.
- Apply encryption standards and monitor data activity using AWS security services.
- Perform security assessments and infrastructure hardening.
- SOAR (Cortex XSOAR):
- Design, develop, and maintain security automation playbooks in Cortex XSOAR.
- Automate incident detection, response, and reporting using integrated security tools.
Must-Have Skills:
- 4 6 years in information security roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Fluent Bit for log ingestion.
- Expertise with AWS Data Lake components: S3, IAM, Glue, Athena.
- Experience with SOAR platforms like Cortex XSOAR.
- Working knowledge of SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk).
- Proficient in Python, Shell scripting, and optionally Terraform/CloudFormation.
- Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK framework is a plus.
- Strong understanding of data ingestion and transformation best practices.
- Deep knowledge of cloud security, data protection, and automated response workflows.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
Preferred Certifications:
- AWS Certified Data Analytics Specialty
- AWS Certified Security Specialty
- AWS Certified Data Engineer Associate/Professional
