Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Product Owner/BA to lead the delivery of robust data platform and visualization solutions tailored for the energy/utilities sector. You will prioritize features and enhancements across data ingestion, modelling, and insight delivery layers to drive compliance, scalability, and rapid deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product vision and roadmap focused on data and analytics in the energy domain.
- Translate business and regulatory requirements into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Prioritize and manage the Azure DevOps backlog, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Drive the delivery of KPIs and dashboards through semantic models and enterprise-grade visualization tools.
- Partner with technical teams to guide development and ensure solutions adhere to SOC2, GDPR, and industry-specific compliance standards.
- Engage with stakeholders to ensure smooth integration of data sources, APIs, and embedded analytics capabilities.
Mandatory Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of utilities/industrial energy operations.
- Deep understanding of energy KPIs such as PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness), growth factor, and related industry metrics.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks like SOC2 and GDPR.
- Proven experience with the Azure Data Stack, including: Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, Power BI
- Expertise in semantic modelling and KPI engine design using DAX, MDX, and SQL.
- Strong understanding of API-centric architectures (REST/GraphQL).
- Experience with Power BI Embedded for custom analytics delivery.
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO).
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps for backlog and sprint management.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
- Ability to use strong industry knowledge to relate to customer needs and dissolve customer concerns and high level of focus and attention to detail
