Responsibilities
- Implement and enforce data governance and audit processes to uphold data standards and privacy policies.
- Develop and maintain metadata management and data catalog systems for a unified source of truth.
- Collaborate on monitoring tools to evaluate the effectiveness of data governance programs and compliance.
- Support and educate stakeholders on data literacy and governance tools.
- Work closely with Data Quality and Platform teams to ensure data reliability and compliance.
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a strong preference for technical disciplines.
- 8 years of experience in data-centric industries, with a focus on media, entertainment, or subscription services.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with data technologies, database systems, and data warehousing.
- Strong communication skills to convey data issues and governance concepts effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with a proactive approach to challenges.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with cloud technologies like AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure.
- Experience with CI/CD technologies such as Git, Github Actions, or Jenkins.
- Knowledge of programming languages like Typescript, Python, Scala, or Java.
- Experience with streaming technologies such as Kafka or Spark.
- Familiarity with Databricks, Tableau, and Salesforce products.
