Basic Qualifications
Candidates should demonstrate a thorough understanding of engineering technology. Engineering Interns must be enrolled in an accredited degree program in Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other related scientific or technical discipline with a preference for a standing of a sophomore or higher.
Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Apply your classroom knowledge to real-world programs supporting the defense of our country. General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) is seeking a Network Systems Engineering Intern to support enterprise IT and network operations within a mission-focused environment.
This internship provides exposure to professional systems administration and network operations while working alongside experienced engineers. Due to the nature of defense programs, hands-on access may be limited; learning will occur through guided tasks, observation, documentation, and supervised support activities.

What You'll Do
- Support IT and network teams with operational and administrative tasks
- Observe and assist with Linux, UNIX, and/or Windows system administration
- Gain exposure to enterprise networking concepts and architectures
- Assist with documentation, asset tracking, and inventory
- Learn structured IT processes in a regulated environment
- Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related field
- Basic familiarity with Windows or Linux and introductory networking concepts
- Strong interest in systems or network engineering
- Willingness to learn and work in a team environment
- U.S. Citizenship required
