Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Systems Administrator in our manufacturing facility in SMITHFIELD, Virginia, United States. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and removing user accounts, assigning file permissions, and managing Active Directory accounts. You will also be required to perform tasks associated with reporting, ticket management, change ticket creation, and implementation.

Responsibilities:
Create and remove AD user accounts as required
Assign file server permission assignments
Update DNS/DHCP as necessary
Communicate effectively with end users and the Security Management team
Document and present changes, following the change management process for approval
Troubleshoot account access issues
Utilize Linux Technologies for system administration
Deploy and manage EO/IR systems
Maintain and manage the Database using Dell Technologies
Back-up and restore systems using Backup Technologies
Configure systems and manage computer hardware

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Systems Administrator in the manufacturing industry.
Proficiency in Cisco and Dell Technologies.
Demonstrable knowledge of Database management and Configuration Management.
Experience in deploying and managing EO/IR systems.
Familiarity with Linux Technologies, Active Directory, and Backup Technologies.
Proficiency in handling Computer Hardware.
Experience in managing system deployments.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team.
Relevant certification or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field would be advantageous.
