Job Description

You will be a Systems and Software Quality Engineering (SSQE) Manager for our team in Grand Prairie, TX. Our team is committed to delivering high-quality systems and software products, and you will play a critical role in leading the strategic direction and performance of our SSQE discipline. You will be responsible for driving continuous improvement, talent development, and maintaining alignment with industry standards and best practices.

What You Will Be Doing
As an SSQE Manager, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and performance of several key areas within the Systems and Software Quality Engineering discipline. These key areas include data analytics, continuous improvement, talent development, and maintaining alignment with AS9100 Quality Management Systems and Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI).

Your responsibilities will include:
Create and manage strategies to ensure the sustainment of knowledge and best practices within the SSQE team.
Oversee implementation of the Software Quality Programs according to company and contract requirements.
Develop and implement processes to optimize practices that reduce risks and support continuous improvements.

The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. A company-sponsored interim secret is required to start.

Basic Qualifications

STEM degree at Bachelors level or above or equivalent experience/combined education.

Ability to obtain and maintain a favorably-adjudicated SECRET clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.

Strong knowledge of industry recognized Quality systems/models such as ISO9001, AS9100, and CMMI.

Strong knowledge of test equipment design, development and validation practices.

Strong knowledge of Product Development Processes (Requirements Analysis, Product Integration, and Verification and Validation).

Experience in Product Development (Requirements Analysis, Product Integration, and Verification & Validation).

Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement methodology.

Ability to lead teams, mentor employees, and influence changes within the organization.

Ability to give, receive, and act on critical feedback.

Demonstrate effective communications skills to structure, prepare, and deliver compelling and clear communications to all levels of the organization

Extensive experience in solving complex problems associated with the quality of software products in deliverable systems, and the quality of the automated test equipment to accept those systems.

Desired skills

STEM Degree at bachelors level or higher preferred.

Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification.

Experience on both production and development efforts.

Experience with Government customers including DCMA.

Experience with Software Engineering and the ability to read and understand software code.

Experience with business proposals, staffing, and long range planning goals and objectives.

Ability to travel.

Ability to work remotely

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $122,900 - $216,660. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

Premium Pay Statement
