Job Details
Senior IT Project Manager to lead the migration of Guidewire PolicyCenter and ClaimCenter from an on-premise environment to the cloud. This role requires expertise in cloud migrations, Guidewire platforms, enterprise systems integration, and managing multi-disciplinary teams. The PM will ensure successful planning, execution, delivery, stakeholder alignment, risk management, and vendor oversight for this mission-critical program.
Role Responsibilities
Project Leadership
Lead end-to-end migration of Guidewire PolicyCenter and ClaimCenter to a cloud environment.
Develop project plans: scope, timelines, milestones, deliverables, and budgets.
Ensure project alignment with organizational goals, compliance, and best practices.
Manage performance and accountability of implementation vendors.
Stakeholder Management
Collaborate closely with business, IT, and third-party vendors to ensure alignment.
Provide clear, timely updates to leadership on progress, risks, and issues.
Serve as the primary point of contact for all project communication.
Risk & Issue Management
Identify risks and create mitigation strategies for both Guidewire systems.
Proactively resolve issues to avoid delays and operational disruptions.
Team Coordination
Coordinate developers, architects, BA s, testers, and cloud/Guidewire specialists.
Allocate resources effectively across PolicyCenter and ClaimCenter workstreams.
Provide leadership, direction, and support to team members.
Technical Oversight
Partner with technical teams on cloud design, configuration, and deployment.
Ensure data integrity, system interoperability, and security throughout migration.
Oversee system testing, validation, and performance verification.
Budget & Resource Management
Manage project financials and maintain alignment with budget expectations.
Ensure efficient resource planning and prioritization.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain comprehensive project documentation.
Provide bi-weekly status reports, metrics, and lessons learned to leadership.
Technical Qualifications
8+ years of IT Project Management experience (M&A or IT integration preferred)
Proven experience managing Guidewire PolicyCenter and ClaimCenter implementations or migrations
Expertise with cloud technologies, cloud migration strategies, security, and performance optimization
Experience leading large-scale enterprise migrations across regions/business units
3+ years in Commercial Insurance
Strong experience with Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid methodologies
Deep knowledge of PMLC, SDLC
Strong facilitation and cross-functional team leadership skills
Excellent stakeholder and vendor management experience
Proficiency with MS Project or other PPM tools
Experience in change management and risk management
General Qualifications
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing complex programs
Strong analytical, managerial, and leadership skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under tight deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication
Ability to bridge IT and business priorities effectively
Education Requirements
Bachelor s degree in Technology, Computer Science, Business, or similar
Master s degree preferred
PMP certification preferred, not required
