System Administrator
Key Role:

Maintain responsibility for activities related to system administration. Ensure long-term requirements of systems operations and administrations are included in the overall information systems planning of the organization. Maintain responsibility for the installation, maintenance, configuration, and integrity of computer sof tware and hardware. Provide technical assistance in the areas of installation, maintenance, configuration, and system administration to help desk customers. Assign personnel to various projects, direct their activities, and evaluate their work. Implement operating system enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of the system.

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience with systems and network administration
• Experience with technical help desk work, including troubleshooting issues with network configurations, sof tware applications, and operating system configurations and multiple application interactions with detailed accuracy via telephone and e-mail
• Experience working within a change management and configuration management framework
• Ability to install and maintain VMs
• Ability to work flexible hours for administration tasks or occasional support to worldwide customers for a help desk that provides 24x7 coverage
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science or Information Technology field

Additional Qualifications:

• CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
