Interview:
  • 2 rounds of interviews plus a Technical Lab scenario
  • 1st interview: 1 hour meet and greet. May be less than an hour
  • Candidate is emailed a technical lab to be completed in 72 hours. It is a technical lab scenario where they will have access to the lab environment, and we ask them to build it.
  • 2nd interview: Review of the technical lab and figure out why and how things were generated
  • Must pass full background check to start
Job Description:
Cloud Infrastructure Developer
  • IT Architect - Cloud Solutions is responsible for public cloud enablement at client, as a team member of the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE).
  • Part of the CCoE role is to assist with the adoption of public cloud through architected frameworks, developing reusable Infrastructure as Code (IaC), pipelines and sharing success stories where public cloud has been adopted.
  • The IT Architect - Cloud Solutions is responsible for Cloud IaC automation, modular code pipelines, such as self-service portals that enable teams to easily consume the public cloud(s) to build and manage AWS accounts, Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) projects and Microsoft Azure subscriptions.
  • This role also requires the ability to deploy infrastructure guardrails through code that scale the enterprise cloud organizations by deploying resources managed through code that enable logging that feeds that data into Splunk.
  • Cloud governance is a key role of the CCoE where the IT Architect - Cloud Solutions will work with the clients cloud engineering, cloud delivery and cloud operations, project teams for notify them of non-compliance infrastructure resources.
  • As part of the CCoE governance role the CCoE collaborates closely with the security teams to enforce the written security and compliance standards as guardrails within the public cloud(s).
  • These guardrails help the project product and platform teams operate safely within the cloud(s).
  • The IT Architect - Cloud Solutions encourages continuous learning through demonstrating CCoE services that are available to projects deployed in the public cloud(s).
  • The IT Architect - Cloud Solutions must also develop and manage relationships and maintain healthy collaboration with key external technology partners and third-party vendors. Reports to the Snr Director of CCoE.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Establish technology strategy, architecture, and plans for the project modernization effort.
  • Understands the organizational and project direction, goals, and the technology eco system to determine how architecture frameworks should be implemented.
  • Interface with engineering and other cloud teams across the organization to establish and enforce best practices and standards as guardrails with manual and auto-remediation, for non-compliant cloud resources.
  • Provides direction on implementing feasible, cost-effective solutions to the overall Solution architecture using cloud services and products considering both functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Collaborates and coordinates with MAXIMUS IT security and infrastructure teams to develop strategies to fulfill security and performance requirements and assess effectiveness of the solutions.
  • Provides feature/functionality to enable cloud teams through self-service portals.
  • Performs and leads POC (proof of concept) development and recommendation to adopt to ever changing technology trends
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Education/Requirements:
  • Bachelor s degree in computer engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with more than 10 years of relevant experience or master s degree (Preferred) in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with more than 6 years of relevant experience.
  • At least 5 years of Software Engineering Management experience including architecting cloud solutions at an enterprise level.
  • Knowledge, experience and exhibits strong thought leadership in digital architecture domain and applications, in developing web services and emerging technologies such as micro services in cloud-based environments and virtualization.
  • Experience of building products & services in As a Service models (eg. SaaS, IaaS, PaaS) and platforms (eg. AWS, Azure)
  • Development experience with programming/scripting languages: Java/JEE, C#/Net, JavaScript frameworks (NodeJS, Angular), Web Services
  • Experience with Agile/continuous integration/DevOps
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to influence peers and superiors (technical and business) the strategic direction of overall solution
  • Must be able to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment of competing and alternating priorities.
