Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Prototype AI-enhanced features rapidly, iterating in weeks not months, while ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business goals.
- Collaborate with your team to design and build practical and extensible software solutions for future investment and growth.
- Leverage a range of tools and programming languages (Java, Typescript, Python) to deliver key software and service initiatives.
- Engage in the traditional aspects of software development and planning like developing user stories, estimating effort, writing specifications, validating technical systems, considering security implications, and developing buy-in for significant technical efforts while developing software with well thought out testing plans and an understanding of business requirements.
- Actively support configuration management of code and software
- Provide (technical) leadership to build, motivate, guide, scale, and mentor team members including performance management coaching
- Actively participate in coding exercises and peer code reviews as part of the development life cycles and change management
- Software lifecycle, security patching and production support with a focus on monitoring AI integrations for quality and correctness.
Qualifications:
- Extensive full stack engineering experience, with an emphasis on back-end development, ideally a minimum of 5+ years.
- 1-2 years of experience applying AI or ML to software systems (e.g., integrating AI services, automating workflows, developing code insights).
- Experience with public cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform), modern deployment approaches, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with setting up Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipelines using tools like GitHub Enterprise, Spinnaker, and Azure DevOps.
- Growth mindset; thrives in ambiguous situations and adapts to new technologies and approaches.
- Articulate, persuasive, diligent, and innovative-able to present complex solutions to peers and managers to gain buy-in.
