A Fortune 50 financial services company is seeking a highly motivated Desktop Support Technician for our client in the Pensacola, FL area.
Overview:
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Desktop Support Operator to provide high-quality technical support for end-users.
- This role involves troubleshooting hardware, software, and basic networking issues related to desktop systems.
- The ideal candidate will be capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, ensuring efficient resolution of technical issues to support organizational productivity.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for desktop systems, including hardware setup, software installation, and troubleshooting.
- Respond to end-user inquiries in a professional and timely manner, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Support Windows 11 OS, including installation, updates, and issue resolution.
- Assist with basic networking issues and escalate complex problems when necessary.
- Configure and support peripheral equipment such as monitors, docking stations, and printers.
- Maintain detailed documentation of issues and solutions using ticketing systems such as ServiceNow.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement support procedures and ensure smooth IT operations.
- Qualifications:
- Proven experience in desktop support, including hardware and equipment setup.
- Proficiency in supporting Windows 11 operating systems.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Desired:
- CompTIA Security+ certification or a degree in an IT-related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience with printer server management.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow or other IT service management tools.
- Working knowledge of Office 365 applications and Microsoft Teams.
