Description
We are looking for a skilled Systems Engineer to join a non-profit organization based in North Bethesda, Maryland. This role is perfect for individuals who excel in technical problem-solving and have a passion for leveraging technology to drive organizational success. As a key member of the team, you will oversee system operations, enhance cybersecurity, and align IT strategies with organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
Provide leadership for the internal support desk, ensuring prompt and effective resolution of technical issues.
Create onboarding materials and deliver training sessions to enhance digital literacy across the organization.
Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures tailored to the needs of a non-profit environment.
Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to safeguard sensitive data and ensure compliance with privacy regulations.
Manage enterprise tools such as Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, and Azure Active Directory.
Administer server environments, ensuring systems are secure, updated, and functioning optimally.
Optimize software licensing and subscriptions to achieve cost efficiency and maximize value.
Align IT strategies with the organization's goals, ensuring technology supports operational needs.
Develop and oversee IT budgets with a focus on sustainability and resource efficiency.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience working in Microsoft-based environments.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Proficiency in Active Directory, Microsoft Windows Server, and Azure Active Directory.
Familiarity with Citrix technologies and Microsoft Exchange.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate across teams.
Microsoft certifications, such as Security+ or Azure Administrator, are highly desirable.
