Position Summary...

What you'll do...

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable software solutions that align with business objectives. This role involves analyzing requirements, creating detailed designs, and producing high-quality, testable code while ensuring adherence to security and performance standards. You will collaborate across teams to address technical challenges, implement automation, and support continuous integration and delivery processes. Your expertise will drive innovation and operational excellence, contributing to the successful delivery of complex applications within a dynamic and evolving technology environment.

About the team:
The team focuses on delivering robust software solutions by leveraging expertise in software development, DevOps, and solution design. Members collaborate to analyze requirements, design scalable architectures, and implement maintainable code using technologies such as Spring Boot. They emphasize quality through thorough testing and continuous integration practices. The team supports ongoing application maintenance, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting to meet business and technical objectives. By fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing, the team ensures alignment with organizational goals while driving innovation and operational excellence in software engineering.

What you'll do:
  • Design and implement core features to the Walmart Pharmacy backend services.
  • Influence and collaborate with engineering leaders, product managers, design leads and the business to develop a unified approach to engineering.
  • Understand complex architecture and add any enhancements to the existing solutions.
  • Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices.
  • Communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with technical and non-technical cross-functional teams.

What you'll bring:

  • 6+ years experience in software engineering or related area.
  • Experience in Spring Boot, Java, NoSQL DB, Docker, Kubernetes
  • Experience inbuilding data communication between back-end systems using Kafka
  • Experience with Spring Cloud - Circuit Breakers, Load Balancing, etc.
  • Experience with public cloud providers such as Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience with telemetry and observability frameworks including Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.
  • Experience with unit and performance testing of applications to increase resilience using technologies including Jenkins, Junit, and JMeter.
  • Understanding of commercial business strategy and goals to solve complex problems with high impact
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00-$234,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
