An established, veteran-owned technology company based in Willowbrook, IL is looking to bring on a Senior Java Engineer to support the growth of its mission-critical security solutions. This team builds real-time applications used in high-security industries such as defense, nuclear security, and critical infrastructure, with a focus on modernization and high performance.
This is a 5-days onsite role where you'll collaborate closely with a small, dedicated team. - 5+ years of professional Java development
- Strong knowledge of multithreading and streaming
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Background in real-time, telecom, or fintech systems
- Security industry experience
- Exposure to Svelte
- Tech Breakdown: 100% Java on the backend / Svelte on the frontend
- Daily Responsibilities: 80% hands-on coding and system design / 20% light leadership/mentorship responsibilities
- Building and enhancing real-time applications with a focus on modernization
- Collaborating daily with a small, tight-knit team
