HYBRID 2-3 DAYS/WEEK IN NYC*
Our major Sports / Entertainment client is seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to support Marketing Operations across their Org, with a strong emphasis on product analytics and consumer behavior insights. This role is focused on data exploration, hypothesis testing, segmentation, and predictive modeling-not pipeline building or dashboard maintenance.
Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $65 - $75 / hr. w2

Responsibilities:
- Analyze consumer behavior data to uncover actionable insights (e.g., fan purchase behavior, event engagement).
- Work in a small environment with autonomy - help come up with solutions and identify consumer behavior, trends, insights, etc...
- Develop models to identify and segment key fan/customer groups.
- Translate complex data into clear, compelling narratives for product and marketing stakeholders.
- Support the design and evolution of a homegrown Customer Data Platform (CDP) by analyzing how data flows and is consumed.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis and hypothesis testing to support decision-making.
- Partner with Product, Marketing, and Martech teams to shape strategies using data-driven insights.
- Build and validate lightweight predictive models (e.g., churn, conversion, lifetime value).
- Track and measure the effectiveness of marketing and engagement initiatives using behavioral data.
- Design frameworks for identifying high-value audience segments.
- Present findings clearly and persuasively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience Requirements:
- Python (for data wrangling, modeling, analysis)
- AWS (for working within the company's cloud-based data environment)
- SQL (for querying structured data where necessary)
- Pandas / NumPy / Scikit-learn or similar libraries
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
