Description
The Information Technology Manager is responsible for providing leadership, coordination, communication, and management of the infrastructure team business continuity processes and functions. This role within Central Health's Joint Technology Department leads a team responsible for Cloud Servers, Private Data Center Servers, monitoring services, automation services, provisioning, deployment, administration, and security practices. This position reports to the Director, IT/IS Enterprise Tech Operations. The IT manager is accountable for oversight of day to day operational activities of the Data Center Technology (Cloud or private) in support of central health. This person will be a technology leader in the development of tools, processes, and assessing for areas of opportunity to improve effectiveness and efficiency. Responsibilities Essential Functions: Directly manage staff, including hiring, firing, assigning and prioritizing work, setting employee goals, reviewing team performance metrics, and completing performance reviews. Analyze technology in the Cloud and Private Data Center systems to provide solution-focused recommendations. Perform vendor management and oversight as needed. Disaster Recovery planning and conducting regular system tests. Design, implement, and support computing platform hardware, software, operating systems, and infrastructure standards to meet application availability and performance requirements. Serve as a Subject Matter Expert to effectively identify and communicate risks and assist with implementation. Provide hardware and software support on servers, including configuration, maintenance, and updates. Develop metrics to establish SLAs for systems, vendor services, and internal support processes. Ensure systems are capable of being managed and monitored for availability and performance against overall SLAs criteria. Create automated processes for system monitoring and administration. Conduct research and analysis of new tools and technologies to improve existing solutions and fulfill new system requirements. Analyze current capabilities and projected organizational growth needs to ensure infrastructure can adhere to established SLAs. Create and document processes and procedures related to computing platforms, technologies, and system configurations. Provide regular status and project updates to leadership, including trends and statistics related to systems and overall health and metrics of the current infrastructure. Work outside of standard business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. People Management/Department Management/Business Unit Management: Resolve issues and/or questions identified by the team before escalating to the Director. Proactively identify potential IT issues and resolve them before they escalate. Set a standard for performance excellence while developing and maintaining a culture of collaboration, accountability, and transparency. Actively communicate to share information and set internal/external team expectations. Strong leadership and coaching skills to bring people together from disparate groups into a cohesive and high-functioning team. Oversee a team that develops and/or supports a wide array of systems and applications (e.g., clinical systems, financial applications, human resource applications, telecommunication systems, patient-facing systems, etc.). Strong understanding of and ability to facilitate/lead Agile and test-driven development methodologies. Elevate staff by coaching, inspiring confidence, and facilitating employee development to support the advancement of Joint Tech and Enterprise goals. Demonstrate worth by being proactive, mentoring, and showing concern for the success of everyone.

Minimum Experience 8 years as a Systems Engineer or Cloud Engineer with hands-on experience in infrastructure design, automation, and management. 5 years of supervisory or managerial experience managing technical employees. 5 years in designing, developing, and implementing enterprise-level systems or database solutions. 5 years in creating and implementing processes, procedures, and metrics for continuous operational improvement and SLA. 2 years supporting a Citrix XenApp or DaaS environment. 10+ years of VMware vCenter design, deployment, and management in a large-scale environment. 4 years of extensive Linux and/or Windows web server experience with administration and automation. 8 years of implementing and maintaining Active Directory and Group Policy Administration. Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field.
