Job Details

Position: Engineering Technician (Contract)
Location: Kirkland, WA
Employment Type: Long-Term Contract
Work Schedule: Onsite, Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist engineering teams with test, checkout, modification, and assembly of prototype electromechanical systems and custom test equipment.
  • Execute design verification, troubleshoot to component level, and support failure analysis and reporting.
  • Interpret engineering concepts from sketches, block diagrams, verbal instructions, and preliminary documentation.
  • Construct, operate, and validate specialized test setups including power control systems and PCB-level diagnostics.
  • Collaborate with design and product development teams throughout the full product lifecycle from early concept through production.
  • Support the development and refinement of custom automated test equipment (ATE) and interfaces.

Required Qualifications:
  • Associate Degree (AA/AS) in Electronics Technology or related discipline, or equivalent military electronics training.
  • 1 3 years of professional experience in engineering technician roles.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting to the component level on electronic hardware.
  • Experience in PCB testing, electrical/electronic circuit analysis, and diagnostic processes.
  • Exposure to design verification processes and experience reporting technical findings to engineering teams.
  • Background in regulated environments (Aerospace, Medical Devices, Military, etc.) or military electronics systems.
  • Strong familiarity with automated test systems using tools such as C#, SQL, or similar software platforms.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic schematic capture/simulation tools.
  • Must be able to work onsite full-time.
  • Must meet ITAR compliance requirements (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or protected person under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(1), (3)).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with DO-160 environmental and electrical testing.
  • Exposure to power supply systems, thermal systems, and EMI/EMC testing.
  • Hands-on work with cable harness fabrication or inspection.
