Job Title: IT Project Manager- Local applicants from Arizona (AZ) only
Location: Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid must be within commuting distance)
Duration: 12 Months
IRG Client is urgently seeking multiple experienced IT Project Managers to lead high-impact, large-scale technology projects. These non-supervisory roles are ideal for professionals who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, engage diverse stakeholders, and ensure successful project delivery. You'll be part of a growing team of over 35 PMs and BAs supporting strategic agency initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Lead end-to-end project planning, execution, monitoring, and closure activities.
- Ensure compliance with project governance by managing stakeholder communications, status reporting, and executive briefings.
- Oversee vendor management including deliverable review, milestone payments, and issue escalation.
- Track and manage project budgets and ensure adherence to financial plans.
- Create and maintain detailed project schedules, tasks, and performance metrics.
- Manage risks, dependencies, and change control processes.
- Large-scale website design/redesign including upgrades or platform conversions.
- Large-scale constituent or customer management systems (creation, upgrade, or migration).
- Large-scale time tracking systems (implementation, upgrade, or replacement).
- Large-scale deployment or remediation of IT security tools.
- Large-scale mobile device management (MDM) initiatives.
- 7+ years as a Project Manager leading complex IT projects involving multiple systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (combinations of education and experience considered).
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, conflict resolution, and attention to detail.
- Ability to be onsite as required by project needs.
- PMP, PMI-ACP, or other Project Management certifications.
- Master's degree in Business, Public Administration, IT, or a related field.
- Experience in:
- IT program or portfolio management
- Leading IT project management teams

- Software implementation and upgrades
- Public sector or government environments
- Project and portfolio management tools
- Delivering high-level customer service and business relationship management
