Job Details

This role is 100% onsite in Downtown Houston.

The AV System Specialist II provides technical and user support for conference rooms, and all AV event support areas. Supported functions include hardware configuration, presentations, video conferences, and customer engagement. The position will maintain, improve, support, and fix audio-visual systems and digital signage. The position will possess a thorough knowledge audio video systems. The position will coordinate resources and/or work events, including multimedia presentations and sound reinforcement.

Duties:

  • Supports and maintains conference rooms and administrative AV technology. Evaluates, install, maintain, upgrade, troubleshoot, repair technology equipment, and perform regular maintenance checks. This includes live events, conference rooms, and video teleconference rooms. Serves as the initial point of contact for reporting and resolving problems in conference rooms.
  • Develops and edits departmental documentation regarding system specifications and usage. Documents service requests and problem reports using the department ticketing system. Coordinates with audiovisual integrators for new and updated systems. Maintains equipment and parts inventory; ensures proper disposal of equipment.
  • Meets with users to determine event needs and direct resources. Stays up-to-date with technology solutions. Trains staff in the use of technology in conference rooms, and performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

1. Associate's degree; trade school or equivalent experience.

2. Experience supporting technology in executive environment (sometimes on a short notice).

3. Computer skills as well Microsoft applications.

4. Knowledge of diagnosis and repairs for computer AV technology.

5. Basic knowledge of AV systems, (Logitech and Cisco)

6. Ability to diagnose software or hardware problems as well as user errors.

7. Ability to interact with users in a service-oriented manner.

8. Ability to conduct technology training.

9. Ability to prioritize tasks, follow policies and procedures, meet deadlines, and ability to handle multiple projects.
