Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Automation Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of experience in system administration, with a strong focus on scripting, automation, PowerShell, and DFS. This role involves installing new software releases and system upgrades, evaluating and installing patches, and resolving software-related problems. The candidate will also perform system backups and recovery, maintain data files, and monitor system configuration to ensure data integrity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and upgrade software: Manage the installation of new software releases and system upgrades. Evaluate and install patches to ensure systems are up-to-date and secure.
  • Resolve software issues: Troubleshoot and resolve software-related problems to maintain system performance and reliability.
  • Perform backups and recovery: Execute system backups and recovery processes to safeguard data and ensure business continuity.
  • Maintain data integrity: Monitor system configuration and maintain data files to ensure the integrity and security of data.
  • Scripting and automation: Develop and implement scripts and automation processes using PowerShell to streamline system administration tasks.
  • DFS management: Utilize DFS (Distributed File System) to manage and optimize file storage and access across the network.

Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in system administration, with a focus on scripting, automation, PowerShell, and DFS.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in installing software releases, system upgrades, patch management, and resolving software issues. Strong knowledge of system backups, recovery processes, and data integrity maintenance.
  • Automation Expertise: Extensive experience in developing and implementing automation scripts using PowerShell.
  • DFS Knowledge: Solid understanding and experience with DFS for efficient file management.
