Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing HVAC/R equipment within the facility. The role includes inspecting, operating, and testing facility equipment while ensuring compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Environmental Protection Agency regulations. Additionally, responding to emergency maintenance calls is a key responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair HVAC/R equipment within the facility.
  • Inspect, operate, and test facility equipment to ensure functionality.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance calls.

Essential Skills

  • Vocational or Technical HVAC/R certification with 6 months' experience, or 2 years of total work experience in commercial refrigeration, mechanical maintenance, or construction-related fields.
  • Type I and Type II EPA certification.
  • High School Diploma.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in large-scale rack refrigeration is preferred.

Work Environment

The work takes place in a shopping store environment. While hours are typically first shift, technicians are required to be on-call one week every 4-6 weeks for after-hours support. A premium is provided whether any calls are answered or not, with an 8-hour rest period between after-hours calls. The maximum number of work orders during on-call duty is four, after which the technician is no longer on-call.

The pay range for this position is $81598.00 - $106579.00/yr.
