Factory Design Team
Bell, in Fort Worth, TX has an immediate opening for a Factory Design Engineer to guide manufacturing innovation concepts, strategic initiatives, facility designs, work scope optimization, and visual creative solutions to Bell's Factory Strategy and assist in moving Bell forward in manufacturing strategy for new programs and plans for product and process optimization, and rate readiness.
In this Factory Design Engineer role, you will ensure the successful completion of major projects in support of strategic priorities and complex objectives - utilizing tools & techniques to deliver innovative Industry 4.0 based Factory Designs.

Factory Design Team
Bell, in Fort Worth, TX has an immediate opening for a Factory Design Engineer to guide manufacturing innovation concepts, strategic initiatives, facility designs, work scope optimization, and visual creative solutions to Bell's Factory Strategy and assist in moving Bell forward in manufacturing strategy for new programs and plans for product and process optimization, and rate readiness.
In this Factory Design Engineer role, you will ensure the successful completion of major projects in support of strategic priorities and complex objectives - utilizing tools & techniques to deliver innovative Industry 4.0 based Factory Designs.
What you'll be doing as a Factory Design Industrial Engineer
- Assist in the design of an Industry 4.0 manufacturing factory that optimizes total cost, throughput, & first pass yield for flight critical products.
- Develops next generation facility using 3DExperience DELMIA for simulation of throughput, analysis of optimal part flow, implementation of process improvement activities, application of cost reduction initiatives, and facility sizing.
- Guides the successful completion of major projects in support of strategic priorities and complex objectives.
- Able to self-initiate tasks and courses of action to develop scope of work, resource estimates, progress metrics, and communication cadence for overall project management to meet mission critical objectives.
- Able to manage complex projects through a disciplined approach to initiating, planning, executing, controlling and closing to achieve specific goals to specific success criteria.
- Prepare layout feasibility studies for various facility and volume scenarios clearly showing opportunities and challenges.
- Able to plan and manage capital projects.
- Assist in the development and execution of operations strategy
Skills You Bring To this Role
- Prior experience in analyzing and implementing plant layout changes within facilities that improved optimal flow and cost savings.
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects through a disciplined approach.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong collaboration skills and influence without direct authority
- DMAIC process knowledge (Six Sigma Green Belt/ Black Belt certification) preferred
- Factory Simulation experience preferred
What you need to be successful
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering Technology or related disciplines.
- 5 plus years of industrial engineering experience in pertinent aerospace or related manufacturing industry
