Job Description:
- As part of the Compute Planning Strategy & Operations (CPSO) team, you ll play a key role in ensuring efficient allocation and usage of compute resources for research teams.
- You ll develop operational processes, implement tools, and collaborate across technical and non-technical teams to optimize infrastructure utilization.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain operational processes and tools for compute resource management.
- Manage and optimize compute resource allocation across research teams.
- Coordinate timelines, communications, and stakeholder engagement for implementations.
- Define, track, and report metrics to monitor utilization, efficiency, and planning accuracy.
- Configure and maintain automation tools to support resource allocation.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and escalate when necessary.
- Create user guides, process documentation, and internal training materials.
- Collaborate with engineers, program managers, researchers, and SREs to forecast demand, prioritize allocations, and streamline workflows.
Experience (Mandatory):
- 3+ years of experience in technical program management or operations, with a background in resource planning, infrastructure management, or process optimization.
- Experience with compute resource tools and capacity planning.
- Ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
- Experience driving process improvements and measuring impact through metrics.
Experience (Desired):
- Familiarity with machine resource provisioning, allocating, and queueing/scheduling systems.
- Familiarity with accounting-based and/or capacity planning principles.
- Experience performing data analysis, building metrics systems, and tooling.
Education:
- BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience.
