Description

We are looking for a skilled Security Network Engineer to oversee and enhance network infrastructure in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This long-term contract position is based in Malvern, Pennsylvania, and offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Cisco networking, network security, and performance optimization, with a commitment to maintaining secure and high-performing systems.

Responsibilities:
Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco routing and switching systems to ensure optimal network performance.
Oversee Cisco solutions for secure remote access, including managing firewalls and addressing performance issues.
Administer and optimize Cisco SD-WAN configurations for seamless site-to-site connectivity and high availability.
Implement and monitor network performance using Cisco ThousandEyes, gaining insights into application delivery and cloud services.
Protect web applications by configuring and maintaining Cloudflare solutions to mitigate security threats.
Design and manage wireless networking systems, ensuring comprehensive coverage, security, and scalability.
Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and Security teams to address and resolve network-related challenges.
Enforce security protocols and compliance standards to safeguard network integrity.
Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, updates, and performance metrics, including preparing regular status reports.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on security and performance.
Expertise in Cisco technologies, including routing, switching, firewalls, and SD-WAN.
Familiarity with additional tools like Palo Alto firewalls and Microsoft Azure networking is preferred.
Proficiency in network protocols and troubleshooting techniques.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
Experience with automation tools and scripting languages, such as Python, for network tasks.
Relevant certifications in networking or security (e.g., CCNP, CCIE) are highly desirable.
