About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to design, evolve, and optimize our cloud-based data and AI/ML architecture. This role combines strategic leadership, technical vision, and hands-on implementation to build scalable, secure, and efficient data platforms and AI/ML workflows. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, cloud solutions (especially Azure), and the ability to clearly communicate complex designs through documentation and diagrams.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of hands-on data engineering experience using distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Spark, MapReduce, Databricks).
Proven experience designing and implementing cloud-based data solutions in Azure.
Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and techniques.
Proficiency with both relational and non-relational database systems.
Exceptional diagramming and architectural documentation skills using tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced proficiency with Azure data services (e.g., Azure Data Lake, Azure Databricks).
Expertise in big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and related ecosystems.
Deep knowledge of data security, privacy, and governance practices.
Experience with scripting and programming languages, particularly Python and SQL.
Prior experience with MLOps frameworks and cloud automation tooling.
