Data Center Asset Inventory & Documentation Engineer

Onsite role Santa Clara, South San Francisco, California (3 weeks in each location)

Customer Requirement Summary:

The customer is looking to perform a physical data center site inventory at two locations:

The scope includes on-site documentation of data center equipment with the following details captured per device:

Asset Information

Manufacturer / Make

Model Number

Serial Number

Hostname or IP Address (if labeled)

Cabinet / rack location

Application(s) hosted (if known) and application owner/POC

Power Connection Mapping (Port-Level)

PDU identification

Specific port/outlet assignments (where applicable)

Connectivity

Copper and fiber connectivity per server

Cabinet Specifications

Cabinet physical size

Number of RU per cabinet

Visual Documentation

High-resolution photographs of each device and cabinet

Multiple worksheets including:

Complete inventory

Location-based views

Equipment type categorization

Connection maps with linked photos

Documentation of known integrated equipment stacks

Example: HPC compute servers integrated with DB servers and VAST storage (noted specifically for San Carlos)
