Job Description -
Role: SAP BTP Integration Lead Location: Hybrid - Los Angeles, CA 91601 (3 days a week work from office) Duration: 12 Months Contract with possibility for extension
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead cross-functional teams to manage end-to-end SAP and non-SAP integration initiatives across enterprise systems, middleware, and cloud platforms, ensuring alignment with business transformation objectives
- Define and oversee integration strategies and roadmaps, leveraging SAP BTP Integration Suite (CPI, Event Mesh, APIs) and modern integration patterns to enable scalable, cloud-ready solutions.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define integration requirements, interface specifications, and data transformation rules, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and business objectives.
- Ensure secure, compliant, and high-performance integration by applying industry-standard security protocols, including OAuth, SAML, SSL/TLS, and encryption, across integration scenarios.
- Oversee middleware platforms, including SAP BTP Integration Suite, IBM Sterling, MuleSoft, and TIBCO, ensuring robust, scalable, and secure connectivity across enterprise systems.
- Manage end-to-end testing cycles across integration layers, including system, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Provide strategic guidance for event-driven and asynchronous integration, ensuring reliable message flows, monitoring, and error handling.
- Drive documentation and governance efforts, including integration architecture diagrams, interface catalogs, data flow mappings, and operational runbooks.
- Support post-go-live stabilization, ensuring smooth transition of integration solutions to operations and support teams while continuously improving performance and scalability.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in systems integration, middleware, or enterprise applications
- Prior experience leading large-scale SAP integration projects.
- Proficiency in CPI, Integration Suite, API management, web services (REST/SOAP), EDI, SFTP, IDocs, and message queues.
- Hands-on experience with cloud integration (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform) and hybrid environments.
- Familiarity with security protocols (OAuth, SAML, SSL/TLS, encryption).
- Familiarity with Event Mesh / Advanced Event Mesh.
- Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, complex program environments (e.g., carve-outs, migrations).
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
