Job Details
We re looking for a hands-on Optical Networking System Tester to perform verification testing of third-party pluggable optics across OEM platforms in our lab. You ll ensure optics meet performance, telemetry, and compatibility standards in metro and ULH ROADM networks.
Key Responsibilities:
Test third-party pluggable optics (SFP, QSFP, CFP) in Ciena 6500T/S/RLS and Cisco 4k/8k platforms.
Verify alarms, optical performance, and telemetry data.
Execute testing across multiple rates, modes, and line card configurations.
Document results, identify issues, and support troubleshooting.
Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve integration challenges.
Qualifications:
Hands-on experience with optical transport networks (metro and ULH ROADM).
Familiarity with pluggable optics and OEM platforms (Ciena, Cisco, Nokia, Fujitsu, Infinera).
Knowledge of optical telemetry, alarms, and power measurements.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work on-site in a lab environment.
Preferred:
Experience with multiple optic types and modes.
Lab automation experience
