Job Details

Position Description:

The PC Refresh Technician s role is to update and upgrade the agency's hardware and software throughout the client s office. This position requires a significant customer service background. These technicians interact with internal customers daily, resolving issues and acting as a liaison to other divisions within the company. The role includes travel to sites throughout the state of Arizona.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide desktop support and assist customers on the company s network.
  • Diagnose and fix computer-related problems, troubleshoot hardware issues, and research and implement potential solutions.
  • Support the agency s warranty and non-warranty computer and printer repair work, and assist with assigned project tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with standards for systems software and documentation.
  • Install and configure PC hardware, software, and peripherals.
  • Assist with major deployments of hardware and software.
  • Attend section staff meetings.
  • Complete mandatory training classes and other assigned classes.
  • Travel between sites to accomplish tasks.
  • Teach new staff members how to troubleshoot problems, set up and install network-related hardware, software, and other peripherals.
  • Work with a team to upgrade and deploy new equipment and software.
  • Assist with multiple projects at various locations throughout the state of Arizona.
  • This position will require daily travel to work sites and may include travel to diverse locations within the state of Arizona, including possible multi-day and overnight stays.

  • The position will require extensive travel. The resource will need to have the ability to drive to various locations with a personal vehicle, possibly involving overnight stays.

Experience Required:

  • General working knowledge of infrastructure technologies and in-house developed applications utilized in the enterprise.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft products, including operating systems and Office.
  • Competency in computer hardware configuration and repair.
  • Understanding of Ethernet network topology to assist with troubleshooting network issues.
  • Familiarity with IT infrastructure industry standards and best practices.
  • Proficient in advanced troubleshooting skills.
  • Capable of problem definition and alternative analysis.
  • Experience with Active Directory, Windows 10, Windows 7, Server 2008, and Server 2012 engineering.
  • Experience with backup solutions, time reporting, and MS System Center Operations Manager 2012 R2.
  • Minimum of 4 years of current working experience in an IT field.
  • Must have a current AZ Driver s license with a good driving record.

Education Required:

  • Associate or Bachelor s degree in a related field.
