Role: Python Lead
Location: Remote (candidate should located within USA)
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Python (preferably Flask, Django, or FastAPI).
- Build asynchronous task queues using Celery and message brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ, Redis).
- Develop and maintain containerized applications using Docker.
- Deploy and manage applications on Kubernetes clusters (EKS, GKE, AKS, or on-prem).
- Implement secure authentication scheme using third-party solutions like OAuth2 and JWT.
- Implement data security and protection best practices.
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB).
- Collaborate closely with DevOps, frontend, and product teams to deliver robust and secure services.
- Write clean, testable, and maintainable code following best practices.
- Perform code reviews, mentor junior developers, and contribute to architectural decisions.
- Monitor, debug, and optimize application performance and reliability in production.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of backend services.
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of professional experience in backend development using Python 3.x
- Experience with web frameworks like Flask, Django, or FastAPI
- Strong understanding of asynchronous programming and distributed systems.
- Solid experience with Celery for background task processing.
- Hands-on expertise with Docker for containerization and Kubernetes for orchestration.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment tools.
- Strong knowledge of RESTful API design and development.
- Experience with microservices architecture and event-driven systems.
- Proficient with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).
- Knowledge of unit testing, debugging, and version control (e.g., Git)
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
