Salary: $90,000.00 USD Annually - $110,000.00 USD Annually
Description: Our client is currently seeking a Field Services Engineer

The Field Service and Support Engineer is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving mechanical, electrical, and software issues for existing clients. Acting as the primary point of contact for customers experiencing equipment problems, this role requires strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Responsibilities include providing remote support via phone or online platforms and traveling to customer sites for maintenance, repairs, and installation of new equipment.

*This position involves a combination of office work and on-site visits across the United States and Canada. Travel requirements are approximately 40%, primarily involving air travel. When not on-site, the engineer is expected to work from the designated office location.*

This job will have the following responsibilities:
  • Deliver exceptional customer service through in-person, phone, and online interactions.
  • Document issues, solutions, and time tracking using a ticketing system.
  • Take ownership of technical problems and escalate complex issues to development teams when necessary.
  • Perform investigative work and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Troubleshoot advanced electrical and mechanical problems.
  • Install and commission machinery at customer sites.
  • Ensure safety compliance in all activities.
  • Develop and maintain technical procedures and documentation.
  • Identify opportunities for product improvements and communicate with relevant teams.
  • Utilize mechanical skills for assembly and site work, including use of hand and power tools.
  • Apply electrical knowledge for fault finding, reading schematics, and working with PLC systems.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in computer programming (preferably C++) and maintain strong technical skills.
  • Work independently and collaboratively with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechatronics preferred).
  • Experience with electronic helpdesk systems (preferred).
  • Background in servicing or maintaining automated machinery (preferred).
  • Customer service experience (preferred).
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel internationally (passport required).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
