We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Permanent Facilities Manager to join our thriving Manufacturing team. This role is a unique opportunity to shape the future of our operations, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our facilities. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of our facilities, including project management, operations management, and facility management. This position requires a hands-on, proactive individual who can manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring the highest standards are maintained at all times.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing facilities, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently.
2. Develop and implement facility management programs, including preventive maintenance and life-cycle requirements.
3. Coordinate and manage all building maintenance, repairs, and renovations, working closely with contractors and other professionals.
4. Manage and lead projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
5. Conduct regular facility inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
6. Develop and manage budgets related to facilities management, including forecasting and planning for future needs.
7. Evaluate and improve existing operations processes, implementing new strategies and procedures where necessary.
8. Work closely with other department leaders to ensure facility operations align with overall company goals and objectives.
9. Coordinate space planning, layout, and office moves.
10. Ensure all facilities are secure, implementing security measures where necessary.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
3. Proven experience in project management, facilities management, and operations management.
4. Strong knowledge of technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices.
5. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
6. Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail.
7. Strong budget management skills.
8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
9. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
10. Knowledge of health and safety regulations, building codes, and security protocols.
11. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and facility management software.
12. Professional certification in Facilities Management or Project Management is a plus.
