Our client is looking for a Google Cloud Platform Data Engineer with a Long-Term Contract project in Charlotte, NC below is the detailed requirement.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development, testing, and maintenance of software applications
  • Collaborate with senior developers to design and implement new features
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
  • Debug and resolve technical issues
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 6+ years of IT development experience
  • 2+ years of strong programming experience in Python
  • 2+ years of Google Cloud Platform experience with Bigquery, GCS, Data Catalog, Data Flow and Airflow/Cloud Composer
  • 2+ years of experience in Data Engineering projects building batch and streaming pipelines
  • 1+ years' experience with CICD pipelines (e.g., Gradle, Jenkins, UCD/Harness)
  • Familiarity with data development technologies
  • Understanding of databases and SQL
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Exposure to software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.
  • Basic understanding of microservices architecture and data pipelines
  • Exposure/Experience on Financial Services domain a plus
