Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Communications Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role is pivotal in administering and enhancing cloud-based contact center solutions, focusing on platforms such as Five9 and Microsoft Teams Phone. The position is ideal for candidates who thrive in a technically demanding environment and are proficient in managing complex telecommunication systems. This role can be based in Kansas City or St. Louis, and possibly other markets with approval.

This role is pivotal in administering and enhancing cloud-based contact center solutions, focusing on platforms such as Five9 and Microsoft Teams Phone. The position is ideal for candidates who thrive in a technically demanding environment and are proficient in managing complex telecommunication systems. This role can be based in Kansas City or St. Louis, and possibly other markets with approval.
Responsibilities:
- Administer, configure, and maintain the Five9 contact center platform, focusing on IVA, IVR, and ACD systems.
- Handle administration of Microsoft Teams Phone, including call routing and licensing adjustments.
- Conduct in-depth troubleshooting across various platforms including carriers, SIP, Five9, Teams Phone, and desktop environments.
- Develop and optimize call flows and track call metrics to provide insightful operational reports.
- Implement and manage integrations between Five9, Salesforce, Pindrop, and other enterprise applications using REST APIs.
- Stay updated with system enhancements and updates, ensuring optimal performance and educating stakeholders on new features.
- Assist in Telecom Expense Management (TEM), focusing on budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization strategies.
- Mentor and train Tier 1 and Tier 2 support engineers, enhancing team expertise and system coverage.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in administering Five9 contact center solutions.
- At least 1 year of experience in managing Microsoft Teams Phone.
- Proven ability to perform advanced troubleshooting across various telecommunication platforms.
- Experience in developing custom reports and managing integrations using REST APIs.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML/CSS for agent scripting and interface customization.
- Knowledge of SQL and external reporting tools such as Power BI for data analysis.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Technical certifications related to Five9, Microsoft Teams, VoIP, or cloud contact center solutions are preferred.
Pay Range: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour
