Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to design and execute comprehensive testing strategies for business controls. This role goes beyond simple test execution-it involves creating test scripts, defining attributes, and ensuring a high level of quality in every testing cycle.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.

We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to design and execute comprehensive testing strategies for business controls. This role goes beyond simple test execution-it involves creating test scripts, defining attributes, and ensuring a high level of quality in every testing cycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Develop Test Scripts: Create robust test scripts and attributes to validate control processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Perform Design and Operational Effectiveness Testing:
- Assess whether controls are well-designed to meet objectives.
- Evaluate operational effectiveness over time to confirm controls are functioning as intended.
- Follow Documented Testing Processes: Utilize established templates, procedures, and guidelines for consistent and compliant testing.
- Understand Business Controls: Analyze and interpret control processes owned by the business to ensure proper design and execution.
- Quality Assurance: Implement a high standard of quality in every testing engagement, ensuring reliability and compliance.
Role Summary

Must-Have Qualifications
- 5+ years of controls testing in Financial Services / Enterprise banking regulatory environment (consumer-focused).
- Hands-on experience with design effectiveness and operational effectiveness testing, sampling, and evidence review.
- Strong understanding of risk & controls; inquisitive mindset and solid soft skills for stakeholder interviews.
- High documentation standards; audit-ready workpapers.
Nice-to-Have
- Exposure to automation in sampling/evidence review; experience standardizing test scripts.
- Oversight or leadership experience in a controls position is nice to have and will lead to consideration for higher level leadership roles in controls.
