Scope of Work:

The Florida Department of Revenue Child Support Program (CSP) seeks a Technical Trainer Advanced to support the Operational Procedures and Training Process team during the CAMS Upgrade Project. This consultant will augment current training staff by providing expert-level instructional design and technical training services, helping to modernize and update program instructional materials. The role involves close collaboration with executive sponsors, technical and functional teams, contractors, and key program stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design and revise instructor-led and computer-based training using various instructional methods.

  • Develop and update user guides and work instructions.

  • Conduct system and procedural research to assess impacts on training content.

  • Coordinate with operational and support teams to ensure timely, accurate content development.

  • Facilitate review and approval processes with team leads, program administrators, and senior management.

  • Gather and synthesize input from SMEs, legacy documentation, and user feedback to create high-quality instructional materials.

  • Write content using correct grammar, plain language, and logical flow.

  • Ensure all training products align with CSP and Department standards.

  • Use PowerPoint and Articulate Storyline 360 to produce engaging training modules.

  • Create clear, measurable course objectives and effective knowledge checks.

  • Publish and distribute finalized training materials in coordination with team leads.

  • Provide technical assistance and quality assurance on instructional deliverables.

  • Attend, lead, and document meetings related to project training components.

  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders.

  • Share expertise in instructional design and training development within the Child Support Program.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years in developing instructor-led and e-learning training.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in writing technical instructions and documentation.

  • Minimum 3 years working with Articulate Storyline 360.

Preferred Experience:

  • Familiarity with knowledge base software tools.

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud suite.

    Education / Certification Requirements:

    • Bachelor s degree or certification in Instructional Design or a related field.

    • Equivalent experience in instructional content development may be accepted in lieu of formal education.

  • Additional Requirements:

    • Strong collaboration and coordination skills.

    • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.

    • Strong attention to detail and quality.

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

    • Available for occasional meetings, documentation, and follow-ups as part of the training life cycle.
