Instructional Designer E-Learning Development
SYSTEMTEC is seeking an Instructional Designer for a hybrid opportunity in the Columbia, SC area. The candidate will need to be a creative and detail-oriented with strong technical and multimedia development skills to support the design, development, and deployment of high-quality eLearning and blended learning solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience using advanced eLearning technologies, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the continuous improvement of training programs that support workforce development and organizational goals.
Required Qualifications of the Instructional Designer:
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies.
- Education: Bachelor s degree in English, Journalism, Business, Education, or a related field OR Associate degree and 2 years of relevant work experience OR 4 years of job-related work experience
- Minimum 2 years in instructional design, electronic media design, or related field
- Proficiency with eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate (Storyline, Rise), Lectora, Captivate
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere)
- Knowledge of HTML, SQL, JavaScript, Visual Basic, and SCORM/AICC standards
- Video/audio editing and graphic design skills
- Familiarity with Section 508 accessibility compliance and web development standards
Responsibilities of the Instructional Designer:
- Use advanced technologies and web applications to design, develop, and deploy interactive eLearning solutions.
- Produce high-quality compliant online learning modules integrated with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Create educational content and apply graphic design principles to traditional, online, and blended learning solutions.
- Incorporate innovative media, interactivity, and state-of-the-art tools into learning experiences.
- Evaluate, test, update, and maintain eLearning and blended solutions to ensure functionality, accessibility, and learner engagement.
- Troubleshoot issues in collaboration with technical support teams and ensure seamless integration with LMS and intranet/internet platforms.
- Assist in the design and execution of training needs assessments.
- Develop tools and processes for data collection and analysis to improve training effectiveness.
- Participate in customer calls, planning meetings, and professional development seminars as needed.
- Lead and manage instructional design projects for internal and external clients.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), stakeholders, and design teams to ensure on-time delivery of learning products.
- Maintain timelines, action plans, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Work Location: Hybrid (In Office Tuesday Thursday)
