Position: SharePoint Project Manager
Location: Sacramento, CA (Onsite)
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the full lifecycle of the SharePoint migration and deployment project.
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, milestones, work breakdown structures, and deliverables tracking using project management tools such as Planview.
Conduct project initiation activities, kickoff meetings, weekly team meetings, stakeholder briefings, and project closure meetings.
Track and manage risks, issues, decisions, and changes throughout the engagement.
Lead the creation and execution of the Organizational Change Management (OCM) Plan, including stakeholder analysis, communication plans, and adoption strategies.
Develop and manage a comprehensive Training Plan for SharePoint Online end-users and administrators.
Oversee delivery of live training sessions, self-paced learning materials, and user support resources.
Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), coordinate defect tracking, and validate deliverables with business stakeholders.
Maintain detailed documentation for project audit, reporting, and knowledge transfer purposes.
Collaborate closely with technical leads, business unit representatives, governance committees, and executive sponsors.
Minimum Qualifications (Required):
Bachelor s degree or equivalent professional experience.
Active PMP Certification (Project Management Professional).
Minimum 5 years experience providing project management services for IT system or application implementation projects.
Minimum of 3 IT project management engagements within the past 7 years.
Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
Ability to work full-time onsite at the Sacramento, CA office.
Desirable Qualifications (Preferred):
Hands-on experience managing SharePoint Online migration and implementation projects.
Experience leading Organizational Change Management (OCM) efforts for IT deployments.
Development and delivery of user training programs for large-scale system implementations.
Prior experience with public sector or government IT projects (state, local, or education).
Strong stakeholder engagement, issue resolution, and executive reporting capabilities.
